*Linac is short for linear particle accelerator: a type of particle accelerator that accelerates charged subatomic particles or ions to a high speed by subjecting them to a series of oscillating electric potentials along a linear beamline. Gamma rays are the same rays emitted by the sun during astronomical events like solar flares.

**I first heard this music when I was 16 in 1986.  It was a time of intense sorrow and it brought me great comfort through listening meditation.  I was shocked at the similarity to the sounds that I heard when receiving radiation.
